Turismo cinese, oltre le città di prima fascia

This graphic from the World Tourism Cities Federation’s (WTCF) recently published Market Research Report on Chinese Outbound Tourist Consumption (created in partnership with IPSOS) aggregates travel data from a nationwide survey of 100,000 outbound tourists fom June and July of this year.  The results confirm that the bulk of China’s outbound tourism originates from tier-one gateway cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou – with each region contributing more than 15% of all Chinese travelers. Not surprisingly, the more developed coastal provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang comprise the second level, contributing 5%-10% of all Chinese outbound tourists. Of particular interest is the still relatively small contributions of emerging urban and commercial centers in Sichuan, Hubei, Shandong, and Liaoning – which are poised for significant growth as Chinese consumers increasingly have the means and desire to explore the world.  [WTCF]
